Dear Fellow Los Trancans,
BAND WEBSITE: The new website with all current information
is at lostrancosband.com
. Please bookmark this link and delete bookmarks for ltwcmb.com.
The RSVP page still doesn't work but will soon!
EVENT REPORT: We had a gorgeous day in Redwood City for the
4th of July Parade, not too hot, and 22 bandspeople turned out to
entertain the crowd. Some of us were tiring by the end but the
very appreciative audience was on our side the whole way.
UP NEXT: We return once more to beautiful Huddart
Park, in the forest of The Coastal Range just a few short miles
northwest of Los Trancos Woods. Join us to celebrate with bbq,
libations, horse balls, ribald stories, and of course, music.
Look at the date carefully! We have had the picnic on Sunday
for many years, this year we're doing Saturday.
The picnic starts at 11:00am. The band will provide beer and
charcoal. Bring food to grill, and maybe something to share, and
any beverages you want besides beer.
I hope to see you all there, Ross
RSVP: It is important that everyone RSVP for ALL band
events so we can plan for the best possible experience for
everyone. RSVP WHETHER OR NOT you are planning to show up. Your
negative response is just as important as a positive one.
We are still working on the website. If the RSVP form isn't
working when you try, email your RSVP to director@lostrancosband.com
FUTURE EVENTS: These are all the events we expect to
do for the rest of the year so you can plan ahead. This assumes we
are invited to the Burlingame parade again. The event mailing
is normally sent out about 10 days before each event.
7/25/26 - Band Picnic at Huddart Park Probably late
September - Burlingame Pet Parade 10/11/26 - SF Italian Parade
12/12/26 - Yule Concert
NEW MEMBERS WANTED:You, our current members, are in
the best position to invite your talented friends to join the best
marching band in the world! Brass, woodwind, and percussion
players are the heart of our sound, of course, but specialty
performers are also welcome.
For recruiting questions or suggestions, email Ross
McCourt director@lostrancosband.com
.
PARTY LINE: Consider joining our free, voluntary
email list, allowing you to keep in touch with other band members.
It can be used for any topics that may be of interest to band
members, and even for carpooling to band events. We currently have
around 70 members on the list. To join or un-join, just send an
email to subscribe@ltwcmb.com.
PHOTOS AND VIDEOS OF THE BAND: We are always
looking for photos and video clips of the band that can put on the
band website to share our memories! If you have some good ones
that you would like to share, particularly from recent events,
please send them in. “Original” or “full size” versions are
preferred. For photos, you can just send a few at a time as
email attachments. For video clips, or lots of photos, use
this link to send them via Dropbox.
NEWSLETTER CONTRIBUTIONS: If, from time to time,
any of you have news items that would be of interest to our band
members, send them in to Chris Quinn, chris@lostrancosband.com,
and we will include them in the next Newsletter. This could
include notes for local gigs involving LTWCMB members.
