The Comedia (or Comedic) Bowl was the idea of the Fratella Bologna
and several other San Francisco comedy groups - a sort of parody of
the Superbowl. It was held in 1987 and 1988 at the Galileo High
School Field and we were invited both years to do a half-time show
and help on several versions of the Star Spangled Banner - Scott
Beach dressed in opera drag did the ultimate “Fat Lady
Sings” version when the event was over.
